The Testing is a book trilogy, but you don't have to read them in order to roleplay.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Isn't that what they all say? But how close it too
close when they may be one and the same?
The Seven Stages War left much of the planet a charred wasteland. The future belongs to the next generation's chosen few, who must rebuild it. But to enter this elite group, candidates must first pass The Testing—their one chance at a college education and a rewarding career.
Anyone chosen is honored to be a Testing Candidate. They are eager to prove their worthiness as a University student and future leader of the United Commonwealth. But on the eve on anyone's departure, the most common to give is "Trust no one". Hinting at a darker side of the testing, the candidates have to choose who they trust and who they don't.
The four phases of testing include:
Phase One
Over the course of two days, candidates will sit for the written exams. Testing their knowledge of History, Science, Mathematics, and Reading. As well as giving us an idea of their problem solving and logic skills.
Phase Two
Phase two is a series of hand-on examinations that will allow candidates to demonstrate their ability to transfer intellectual knowledge into practical use. Any wrong answer will be...penalized. Those who pass will be asked to participate in phase three.
Phase Three
Phase three is an examination that will test candidates ability to work in teams and assess your teammates' strengths and weaknesses. Each group consists of 4 people at the most and each person is required to answer one question. There are four questions. The group may decide which order the members go in but be careful who you let go first. If he or she answers someone else's question on purpose to eliminate them, it most likely will work. Answering an already-answered question will result in elimination.
Phase Four
Phase four is when the real danger starts. The candidates who are left are dropped into the middle of Chicago. Chicago was destroyed and devastated from the Seven Stages War. Each candidate is for himself in this grey, rotting, ruined city. The candidates have to watch out for mutated animals, poisonous water, outcasts, and most of all....other candidates. Candidates may choose to team up but you have to be aware that candidates kill other candidates to narrow down the numbers. The objective is to find your way back to the Capitol, Tosu city, alive. The candidates who return back will be submitted to the final psychological evaluation. Before dropped into the devastated city, candidates may choose three items from the stockroom to aid themselves. The items include weapons, fire kits, med kits, compass', water purification kits, etc.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
